It’s surprising that Mammoths Melting Out Of the Ice!?! were only a band for just over a year. It seemed as though the time was highly concentrated. When I recently mentioned this to my friend Kristy Headley, she said “the world pulls at everyone in different ways”. Kristy was my roommate when Mammoths was very much a living thing, and this helped explain something. We all knew when we would cease to be months in advance and time was our enemy. It may also be surprising to think that the last Mammoths show was on August 25th, 2006, but that’s when it was.
